About the event
Join us for our annual community gathering to honour and remember the fire of 1959, alongside those who lived through it. We are pleased to welcome Stephen Rothwell, Lanark Highlands Fire Chief, who will speak about the work of the fire services in Lanark Highlands. Modern fire trucks will be on display for a close‑up look, and a video featuring archival coverage of the 1959 fire will be playing during the gathering.
