2026 Board Members

The Lanark & District Museum Board members are all volunteers that live in or around the community.

The museum is also fortunate to have several friends, volunteering in the background to help make the museum run smoothly.

Anne Graham, Board Member - Chair

I'm currently the chairperson of the Lanark and District Museum. Though I haven't always lived in Lanark, my family history here is strong—my grandfather Ben Willis and my father John Graham both have local ties, and I taught at Maple Grove School for seventeen years. After returning to our family home on Owen Street, a visit from Lloyd and Mary Wilson led to me joining the museum board when they donated dance posters from Lloyd’s fiddling days.

Norma Blair, Board Member - Past Chair

I've been active with the Lanark and District Museum since the mid-1980s. My husband's parents, George and Carrie Blair, helped launch the museum and inspired my involvement as a volunteer. In 1991, Lenore Umpherson and I joined as Friends of the Museum, and I'm still engaged. I believe it's important to preserve local artifacts and share the stories of those that have come before us.

Donna Gourlay, Board Member - Secretary

I am currently a volunteer and Board Secretary at the Lanark and District Museum. I've worked with Ottawa Community Housing and have lived in Lanark Village since 2006. For over ten years, I've supported the museum's fundraising and events. I encourage everyone to visit, enjoy our exhibits, and join our special activities.

Suzanne Croteau - Board Member - Treasurer

Mike Diak: Board Member - Volunteer

Lynda Haddon, Volunteer

For 23 years, I have lived in Perth and actively participated in the community in many roles. As a Past President of the Perth & District Horticultural Society, I led volunteers who cared for five public gardens in Perth for more than 12 years. I've written several books about these gardens and given presentations to the Perth Historical Society. My volunteer work includes driving seniors to their appointments and serving on the boards of Inge Va and Communities in Bloom. I discovered Lanark and District Museum while researching one of my books and have enjoyed helping and supporting them with their Facebook Page for about a year. The museum truly is a gem nestled in Lanark Village.

Before all this, I spent 43 years involved with Multiple Births Canada, Multiple Births Families of Ottawa Valley, and taught prenatal classes for multiple births for 21 years. My family includes four daughters—among them twin girls—and five wonderful grandchildren. Just ask me!

Josee Tremblay-Cochrane,  Volunteer

I moved to the village of Lanark in the fall of 2025 and joined the museum's volunteer team to learn about its history, contribute to the community, and meet new people. I'm excited to help make the museum an engaging place to visit.
